There are sections that delve into using Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Publisher and OneNote. For most users (all but daily power users) , the material in this book will be sufficient to guide them through most everything they need to do with documents, spreadsheets, emails and presentations.The examples are helpful and complete - making it easy to implement the author's suggestions. If you are new to Office 2016 - or just think you need more details on how to use Office more effectively - then you should benefit from reading this book (and having it on hand for reference).

A Rich World of Childhood Enchantment

I first read this enchanting book as a child, and over the years have read it many more times with my daughters. Linnets & Valerians is a magnificent story about the adventuring spirit of childhood and the restorative power of the natural world. In a lush, appealing, way it presents the empowering advantages of higher learning and the great moral value of living an honest and kind life. Linnets and Valerians is also a deeply romantic story about the mystery of family lost and family found. From the first reading I thought this book would one day stand next to J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan and Aurther Ransom's Swallows and Amazons series. And while I found Harry Potter a delightful read, that recent best seller certainly pales next to the world of Goudges's Linnets & Valerians; a place in which good relationships between children and adults foster the growth of those children into wise and responsible adults themselves. I own one copy of this book but had hoped to obtain newer copies for my daughters when they were grown. I have found, to my grief, that this book is out of print. I would love to see Linnets & Valerians rediscovered in my library as Aurther Ransome has been, thanks largely to new paperback edtions with appealing cover illustrations. With the many glowing reviews on this site, won't some publisher consider re-issuing this book soon!

There is nothing about this book that does not recommend it! A well-crafted story, satisfying mystery with magical elements that are simply charming. Goudge transports the reader into the believable world of a small Victorian British village and it's beautiful surroundings as viewed from the perspectives of the four children who fall into this delightful adventure laced with wonder and magic. Main characters who can be trusted and loved, villians who are complex enough to be interesting and not stereotypical, and a story to be read again and again. I have given this book to every child I know and each has loved reading it. Now and then, I go back and read it myself!

A friend of mine recommended this to me because I am a hobby beekeeper. Beekeeper or not, you can easily see why this author is one of J. K. Rowlings favorites. The strong influence is obvious. Classic characters and plot, wonderfully crafted, one can also see where Disney picked up a few characters as well. If you like well written British children's fantasy works and fairy-tales, this is one that I couldn't recommend enough. A sweet story of mystery, history, witchcraft, honeybees, brave children and two fascinating adults whose fondness for each other has built an intriguing bridge between the spiritual traditions of the present with those of the past.

I enjoyed Murder in the Mountains because it took place in Colorado. I have visited Colorado myself, so I enjoyed that feature. The murder was expected...due to the title. And I liked how it was solved quickly. I received a digital version of this book for free for the review. I also found one spelling error towards the end of the book.

relaxing read

Every time the author needed something for characters to do, they were drinking---not much variety of activities. The author seemed determined to prove that a Christian character could do things that were traditionally frowned on, such as dating non-Christians because of physical attraction and drinking. The mystery itself was not bad. The author kept me guessing about who the culprit was. The idea of a historical robbery was an interesting angle.
